The best of the Okavango and Chobe National Park
- 5 nights
Begin in the stillness of the inner Delta and end on one of Africa's great rivers. Three nights at Oddballs Camp are followed by a flight north to Kasane and Chobe National Park, where the dry season draws some of the largest elephant herds on the continent down to the riverfront. Mornings are spent cruising the Chobe River by boat; afternoons on game drives through the park's open savannah. This is the option for travellers short on time who want two completely different Botswana landscapes without losing days to the drive between them.
Makgadikgadi and Okavango Safari - 6 nights
Water, then the absence of it. Three nights at Delta Camp in the inner Okavango with privately guided walking safaris and mokoro excursions, then a transfer to Meno a Kwena, perched on a cliff above the Boteti River at the edge of the Makgadikgadi. Game drives across the park, motorboat safaris on the river below camp, a walk with San guides, and in the dry months a night sleeping out on the salt pans themselves.
The only one of t combinations that pairs the Delta with the desert. Wildlife gathers on the Boteti from April to November.
Moremi, Khwai and Chief's Island Package - 6 nights
Four nights on a fully serviced mobile camping, then fly to a camp on the edge of Chief's Island. This package pairs game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Community Concession, with a light aircraft flight into Oddballs Camp for some walking safaris and mokoro. The camping half is explored by vehicle in a group of no more than eight; the Delta half is privately guided. Best for travellers who want both sides of Botswana in one trip.
