Okavango Delta Boating Safaris
Okavango Delta Boating Safaris to Chiefs Island
Embark on an adventurous mobile boating safari from Maun, venturing deep into the Okavango Delta to camp on remote islands around Chief’s Island. Designed for those looking for more of an adventure, this journey takes you through the flooded delta on safari boats, with nights spent under the stars with typically expedition-style campsites.

Each trip is uniquely planned to align with the annual flood cycle, which determines the navigability of the delta's channels. As the flood's timing and extent vary each year, these safaris typically run between May and August, but advance planning is essential. Ask us for advice and best times for 2025 and we would love to help. We do these trips annually and sometimes just for fun.

Usually spanning six unforgettable days, this safari is perfect for adventurous spirits. Encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and occasional reed blockages may lead to unexpected itinerary adjustments, adding to the excitement and uniqueness of each expedition. The memories of this journey will stay with you forever.
